Our Values
Since our first shop opened in 1930 we have remained family owned and family focused. Now in our third generation of Wilkinson family ownership, our aim has always been to give you great value and convenience whilst remaining true to our simple, honest, family focused values of passion, teamwork, and thoughtful ambition.
These values, shared by our team members, ensure that your shopping experience at Wilko's is continuously enhanced.
Bruce Purdie 40 years service
Bruce Purdie, our Coventry store manager, has been a Wilko team member for 42 years.
He explains: "The reason I am still with Wilko's after 42 years is that the family values, which have always been promoted, are in line with my own.
Providing an enjoyable environment in which everyone can contribute and feel valued goes a long way towards generating a successful team."
And this passion is shown on the shop floor and the future plans for Wilko's. You can now find even more products in store including homeware, furniture and food sitting alongside our well-known selection of garden and hardware. And, to ensure that you can get the things you want when you want them, we have also increased the number of products we have available on the internet.
Beyond the shelves, we've always been proud to play an active role in the communities our stores are based in, by supporting the issues that are important to you, our customer. We also work closely with local charities, community groups and care organisations to help support them to continue to support the community in which you live. |
